Well, I am the proud owner of a Vax that cost less than £100 and that will suck up the floor boards and the cat without even a burp. It also sounds like a jet engine landing and weighs about the same. Because of this the top floor rarely got cleaned because I couldn't be bothered to lug it up the stairs. Compared with this the Samsung powerstick is a more of a delicate little petal. It needs emptying often and it's filter brushing clean otherwise it quietly dies. However this is easily done as the whole thing can be assembled and disassembled very quickly :-):-)and a child's paint brush is enough to dust the filter clean.. It's easy to carry up and down many flights of stairs and I love that I can vacuum under the beds without stopping because it bends and folds in all manner of directions. Whilst it doesn't have the suction of my old Vax it gets more use because I can skip around the house like a little dust fairy :-) I wish I wish it had wall mounted storage because it's floppy and needs propping up but I haven't checked that this is possible with Samsung. I like it very much. It makes me happy. But my old Vax is still on standby in the cupboard

Disappointed in more ways than one

First of all... I purchased this model in December 2021 for £112 from Amazon. Now it sells for nearly £400 for the same device. What do you think is happening here ?

Second: after 3 months of owning this the motorised brush no longer spins, no it's not clogged or the like. It's just broken.

Third:, just over a year later and the vacuum just turns itself off. Filter and canister are clean, battery is charged, the vacuum just loses power then turns off.

Fourth: when you think you vacuumed up debris and turn it off. Lift it up and the debris falls out of the brush, the suction is so weak.

Fith: I am now replacing with a Bosch, way superior to this appealing waste of money.

An excellent product when you know its quirks

When this product was delivered, it worked perfectly for 2 minutes then cut out. Then refused to charge. Annoyed as I was it was dealt with by Amazon over the phone who put me onto Samsung who arranged for it to be picked up and repaired. The whole process took just short of 2 weeks and now I have a working product again. There are several bad reviews about the same faults but sometimes the product cuts out when full and can seem like a fault. As soon as it is emptied it is fine. Runs for 25-30 mins in normal mode, 10 mins if on turbo, comes with a 2 year warranty so if you do get a faulty one it will be repaired free of charge.

Battery only lasts 5 minutes using boost mode. Normal mode lasts about 15 minute max. Well designed product let down by poor battery. I got it for £167 -i can't understand why the price had climbed to £399 for same model.
